With 2014 coming to a close many of us are starting to prepare our New Years Resolutions. For some it is about exercising more. For others it is about losing weight. While these are all great resolutions, why not try a different resolution this year? Why not for this year create a New Years Resolution for healthier eyes? Here are a few ways to make this goal happen:
- Schedule An Exam. When was the last you had your eyes checked. If you can’t recall right away, you are most likely due for a checkup. Eye exams are very important as many eyes diseases don’t cause any symptoms so you may not even know if you are affected with any.
- Update Your Glasses Prescription. Are you finding yourself getting headaches when reading the newspaper? Are you experiencing dry eyes? Your glasses or readers could be the reasons why these things are occurring. Besides getting an eye exam, you may want to look into a new pair of stronger readers.
- Protecting Your Eyes. No matter what month of the year it is, when you go outside, your eyes are being exposed to the sun. The last thing you want going into the New Year is eye issue’s caused by the sun! Optx 20/20 sunglasses provide 99.9% UVA and UVB protection so your eyes will remain unexposed to those very strong rays!
- Get Screened For Glaucoma. Glaucoma can be a very dangerous disease that could even cause blindness. If you are age 40 or over you should definitely get an annual glaucoma screening.
The New Year brings fresh starts and new beginnings. You only though get one set of eyes. Make sure you don’t neglect them and take the best care possible so you can truly enjoy “Life’s Little Details.”
