Removing Those Red Marks On Your Nose Caused By Glasses

There is nothing worse then taking off your glasses and looking like Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer.  That annoying irritation that glasses’ nose pads create not only can be embarrassing but also uncomfortable.

Luckily though there are a variety of options that can help alleviate the issue.

First, more than likely the glasses or sunglasses you are wearing on too tight on your face, which is creating pressure and causing the redness. Try adjusting the nose pads around the bridge or purchase bigger nose pads, which will spread the weight of your glasses more evenly and avoid pinching the skin. Silicone nose pads such as those used in the popular Helium readers are also an alternative as they can provide a much more comfortable feel on your nose.

If you don’t want to make any alternations to your frames or buy a new pair there are also a variety of natural remedies that can help prevent the irritation. Aloe Vera is one option you can get at your local drug store that is known for healing rashes and irritations. You may also want to try mixing cucumber and lemon juice together and then applying it to the area with a cotton swab.

If nothing else works it may also be beneficial to remove your sunglasses and glasses regularly to give your nose a rest. During that time massage the area to release the tension caused by the nose pad pressure.

Don’t let the redness get to you. Try one of the above options and hopefully you say goodbye to that Rudolph look!
