Famous Women and Their Sunglasses

With March being Women’s History Month, we thought we would take a deeper dive at the women of history that not only made huge accomplishments in our society but also wore some stylish shades.

Here are a select few:

Audrey Hepburn

One of the few people who won an Academy, Emmy, Grammy and Tony award, Aubrey Hepburn is famous for her unique sunglasses including ones with matte black acetate with brown lenses.

Jackie Kennedy Onassis

Former first lady, known for her style and elegance, Jackie Kennedy was seen very often with some really unique oversized round dark shades that had a gold tone Greek key design on each temple.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Another famous first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt was very popular for her own press conferences she hosted. In addition, she played a big role in expanding opportunities for women in the workplace, refugees and civil rights. Her tortoise colored plastic frames featured a brownish tint lens. Very stylish then and very stylish now!
