Lashes and Lenses, Here’s the 411 You Need To Know

For many moms out there, last week may have brought much joy with some great Mother’s Day gifts from family and friends. That may even include a new pair of specs – perhaps in the form of readers or sunglasses.

Wearing those new specs probably looks awesome? They though need to be able to work with the rest of the appearance, including eyelashes.

If you’re a mom or just a woman that wears eyewear and also false eyelashes there are a few things you should do so they don’t conflict. Here are a few tips:

  • Apply a coast of mascara to your natural lashes before applying your falsies. This will minimize the risk of creating little stains on your lenses and will also help keep the falsies lasting longer.
  • If you do need your glasses to see while applying the fake lashes, perch them on the end of your nose. This way you can look down through them when applying the adhesive but will still be out of your way when applying the lashes.
  • If your lashes are too long and are hitting your lenses, gently curl the lash to naturally hemp them move back from the lenses and frames.

Lashes most certainly can work great with eyewear. Keep these tips handy as you never know when that time will come when they have to work together.
