Lashes and Lenses

For many women, there is nothing more annoying then their eye lashes “bumping” into your glasses. It can be very frustrating and even affect your vision.

So what do you do if you have such a problem? You don’t necessarily want to have to purchase a new pair of glasses but you also know you can’t go without seeing because your eyelashes are long.

Here are a few options:

  • If you have nose pads, try moving them backwards. If the lashes are still touching, but only one side, you may want to adjust the frame. Remember though, to avoid vision issues; the clearance should be the same at both sides of the frame.
  • Adjust the distance between your glasses and your eyes. You could find the crew to adjust the position, especially in the nose pad area.
  • If you need to replace your frames because of your eyelashes, look for a frame where the bridge of the frame is up higher on your nose. This should help combat the issue.

Wearing a pair of glasses needs to be comfortable not just for your eyes but also your face. If you can’t see properly through them because of an outside issue such as your eyelashes, those frames more than likely aren’t right for you.
